DIRECT CARE WORKER

- Provide services to a small group of individuals with developmental disabilities and autism in a supportive and personalized residential environment
- Assist individuals with daily living skills
- Promote community integration
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Possess valid New York State Driver's License
- Must have High School Diploma or GED
- Ideal for college students
- Part-time flexible hours available
- Experience not necessary - professional training and supportive supervision provided

Residential Services Program

RESIDENTIAL HABILITATION COUNSELOR
Responsibilities:
- Work on a one-to-one basis with an individual with developmental disabilities in his/her home and community
- Teach Daily Living Skills
- Promote community integration
- Provide socialization, recreation and educational activities
- Provide positive behavioral supports
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of study at an accredited University or College – preferably in the field of education,
special education or human services – OR – 3 years experience working with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities.
- Requires use of a personal vehicle, reimbursement provided
- Valid New York State Drivers License required
- All potential staff must undergo background check
- Training provided
